Types of Gifts You Can Leave

Residual Gift

A percentage of the remainder of your estate after other gifts and expenses.

Specific Gift

A set amount of money.

Specific Asset

An item such as shares, property, or other assets of value.

Whole Estate

A gift comprising your entire estate.

Suggested Wording for Your Will

You may wish to provide this wording to your solicitor:

“I give [X% of the remainder of my estate / $X] free of all duties and taxes to FLYING FOX SERVICES LIMITED ACN 617 076 329 for its general purposes, and I declare that the receipt of an authorised officer for the time being of FLYING FOX SERVICES LIMITED shall constitute a full and sufficient discharge for my Executor(s).”
