NDIS Programs: How Flying Fox Fits Into Your Plan
Navigating NDIS funding can feel complex, but Flying Fox makes it simple. Our programs can be claimed from multiple areas of your NDIS plan and are tailored to provide personalised support that aligns with your goals and funding. Every activity is designed to have purpose, meaning, and impact.
Claiming Flying Fox Through Your NDIS Plan
Flying Fox is a registered NDIS provider, and our programs can be claimed under a number of NDIS Registration Groups:
Core Supports (0115): Assistance with Daily Life Tasks in a Group or Shared Living Arrangement (including Short Term Accommodation / Respite).
Core Supports (0125): Participation in Community, Social and Civic Activities.
Capacity Building Supports (0125): Community Participation Activities.
Our overnight programs are invoiced on a 1:1 support ratio, while weekday programs are billed at a 1:4 ratio. This ensures the right balance of personalised support and community connection.
And here’s the best part: Flying Fox programs are significantly lower in cost compared to the market for overnight, 1:1 supported participation in community activities. That means more opportunities to get the most out of your NDIS plan.
Flying Fox Is More Than Just a Program
Flying Fox programs are designed to support participants to build independence, confidence, and social skills in safe, inclusive, and fun environments. Every participant is matched with a highly motivated young volunteer who is carefully chosen to align with their interests, personality, and goals. This not only provides the right support but also fosters meaningful, age-appropriate relationships.
We’re proudly youth-led, with passionate volunteers aged 18–25 creating an atmosphere of energy, fun, and inclusivity. The friendships and skills developed on our programs flow back into daily life – helping participants engage confidently in their schools, homes, workplaces, and communities.
Support That Fits Your NDIS Plan
Flying Fox isn’t just about respite or recreation – it’s about empowering participants to live more independently, become active members of their communities, and achieve the goals set out in their NDIS plans. Whether your focus is on community participation, daily living skills, social connections, or building confidence, our programs are tailored to help make those goals a reality.
